PRINTING-Stationary
Our Printers do not colour match business cards or stationary. Colours may vary from day to day, press to press, board to board and back to front, varnishes and laminates may also affect colour output. We will not reprint for colour or shade discrepancies. Our Printers bulk running systems do NOT allow for this. DO NOT USE THIS SYSTEM IF YOU REQUIRE EXACT COLOUR MATCHING.Please note there can be a trimming variance of plus or minus one millimetre due to automated cutting systems (no guillotine), allow for this when setting up artwork. Allow between 2 – 3mm bleed all round and keep important information 2 – 3mm in from trim lines.
We prefer the artwork supplied by the clients to be in the correct printing format. Artwork is to be designed inAdobe Illustrator or saved as a PDF or eps.
PDF as this is our preffered artwork file. Any art that requires correction or adjustment can be done and will be charged accordingly.
PRINTING-Promotional Products
Due to the large number of promotional products in our range we will need to discuss this for each job.JPG in most cases is not acceptable due to poor resolution.
Please note that some promotional product artwork might be printed onto uneven surfaces and slight distortion might occur.
For some jobs there could be up to approx 5% variation in finished artwork or units delivered.
SIGNS
Very similar to the stationary, but it must be in a higher resolution and done in vector. These files are generally quite large.SENDING ARTWORK

ARTWORK COLOURS
A common error when delivering images by clients is the delivery of images in RGB-mode.
RGB is for screen viewing only and CMYK is for print.

RGB (Red, Green and Blue) - These are know as "Additive colors". If we combine red, green and blue light you will get white light. This is the principal behind the monitor you are staring at now. RGB mode, is optimized for display on computer monitors and peripherals, most notably scanning devices.
CMYK (Cyan, Magenta and Yellow) - are "subtractive colors". If we print cyan, magenta and yellow inks on white paper, they absorb the light shining on the page. Since our eyes receive no reflected light from the paper, we perceive black. The printing world operates in CMYK mode. In practice, these subtractive colours are good with light colors, but when we add them all together, they produce a murky brown rather than black. In order to get decent dark colors, black ink is added. This is the "K" component in CMYK printing. "K" is used to indicate black instead of a "B" to avoid possible confusion over Blue ink.
Always deliver your digital images in CMYK-mode!
If we recieve a file in RGB we will need to convert the colours to CMYK before we send the files into print productin. Most of the time, the color change that will occur is slight. However some colours do not convert well, in particular orange and green, which can become a bit dark once printed. Be warned that we do our best but there is absolutely no way to get that deep RGB blue using CMYK.
